It Gets Worse — Season 1

After being evicted from their flat, three friends in their twenties cling to their friendship while the world falls apart around them. In the first episode, best friends Ethan, Abi and Sam scramble to repair the damage in their London flat before they're thrown out for good. The trio are determined to escape reality with one last night out but as the night spirals, long-buried tensions surface.

Abi seems to have it all - a nice flat with her boyfriend, a new promotion, a more adult life. But beneath the surface, cracks are beginning to show. Meanwhile, Ethan becomes infatuated with Sam's new housemate, Aaron and when Abi, Ethan and Sam reunite at a chaotic dinner party, Abi's forced to look closer at her seemingly perfect life.

Sam's moral high ground is tested at a warehouse sex party, where she invites her new hook up Tess. Abi attempts to make her boyfriend Tom jealous, whilst Ethan spends the night trying to figure out if Aaron is gay. The trio try to maintain control over their love lives, leading to impulsive decisions that could ruin everything.

Ethan and Abi show up to support Sam's reading of new work. But when a short film from the warehouse sex party plays, they are forced to confront how much they've changed since meeting. Meanwhile, Ethan and Aaron blur even more boundaries.

Ethan, Abi and Sam attend the funeral of a friend from university, bringing both love and loneliness to the surface as their friendship hangs in the balance.

Ethan, Abi and Sam attempt to reconcile, but a chaotic housewarming party makes their fresh start feel uncertain. Surely it gets better than this? But who needs better when they have each other...
