Episodes
Moscow investor Vadim comes to Gornouralsk to ask for his girlfriend Tanya's hand in marriage from her father — the stern Ural factory worker Igor Romanovich. But the introduction doesn't go well right away. Long ago, Tanya told her father that Vadim was a builder. Igor Romanovich respects men who work with their hands. And he considers all investors to be swindlers. The deception is revealed, and a conflict breaks out. Vadim has no choice but to get a job at the local factory, joining Igor Romanovich's team, and thus prove that he is worthy of Tanya.
Igor Romanovich sets a condition: Vadim will have to leave the factory if he fails to pass the safety test. Vadim realizes he's unlikely to manage on his own, so he resorts to a little trick. But everything doesn't go according to plan. Igor Romanovich's brother, Tanich, runs into debt collectors. It turns out he has serious debts. The collectors force Tanich to look for unexpected ways to quickly earn money at the factory. The head of the HR department, Lyudmila, meets her ex‑husband, Egor, who works in Igor Romanovich's team. Old feelings flare up again. Lyudmila wants to get closer to Yegor, but she's only making things worse.
Igor Romanovich meticulously monitors his daughter's fiancé, hoping to kick him out for even the slightest mistake. Vadim begins to zealously adhere to the company's regulations, but this angers the other workers in the workshop, who live by unspoken rules. Meanwhile, Tanich decides to take a risky step because of his debts.
Vadim is trying to earn the respect of his colleagues and is changing the usual way of doing things in the workshop with an unconventional approach. This kind of initiative infuriates Igor Romanovich, forcing the groom to once again find himself caught between two fires. Meanwhile, Tanya runs into her ex‑boyfriend, who hopes to get everything back.
Trying to juggle city affairs with hard work in the workshop, Vadim makes a dangerous mistake. The local workers turn against the Muscovite once and for all, as his blunder leads to the team being subjected to new, strict rules. Meanwhile, the head of the personnel department is looking for a way to get her ex‑husband back.
Vadim endures the bullying from his colleagues, but soon finds a way to take revenge on his tormentors. Meanwhile, Igor Romanovich conspires with his daughter's former fiancé to arrange a meeting between them away from the Muscovite. The strange behavior of Tanich, who is hiding his debts, leads the workers to very unexpected conclusions.
Vadim gets a chance to receive his father‑in‑law's blessing without exhausting himself in the workshop. To do this, the Muscovite needs to keep an eye on the foreman and find out his main secret. At the same time, the head of the personnel department is trying to prove to her ex‑husband that she is in no way inferior to his young partner.
The visit of the Chinese partners to the enterprise gives Vadim a chance to secretly resolve his problems in the capital. Meanwhile, the head of the HR department is almost giving up in her attempts to get her ex‑husband back, but unexpectedly receives help from an old friend. And the hero's fiancée is dangerously getting closer to her ex‑boyfriend.
Hiding serious troubles from his fiancée, Vadim tries to master a new skill — surviving on the modest salary of an ordinary worker. The situation is complicated by Igor Romanovich, who takes on the task of harshly reforming his son‑in‑law. At the same time, one of the factory workers begins searching for his wife's secret admirer.
The former suitor continues to fight for Tanya and fulfills her long‑held dream, creating a huge problem for Vadim. Meanwhile, the head of the HR department encounters her ex‑husband's new love interest for the first time, and one of the workers dangerously grows closer to his best friend's lawful wife.
Igor Romanovich and Vadim agree to an experiment and completely switch professions for one day. While the men are trying to master their new duties, Ilyukha loses control over his emotions, and Lyudmila misinterprets Egor's intentions and oversteps personal boundaries.
Vadim's problems are rapidly escalating: the criminal boss whose millions he lost is sending his thugs to Gornouralsk to track down the debtor. Meanwhile, Tanich is desperately trying to hide their dire situation from his wife, while Lyudmila is growing closer to Valentin.
Fleeing from the gangsters' pursuit, Vadim decides to carry out an extremely dangerous plan, risking losing absolutely everything if he makes even the slightest mistake. At the same time, Lyoha and Ilyukha go through a harsh ordeal that threatens their friendship.
For the sake of the long‑awaited promotion, Igor Romanovich is forced to ask his daughter's fiancé for help. Meanwhile, Vadim is risking his life, trying to carry out an extremely dangerous assignment for Chingiz. At the same time, Lyoha and Tanich are desperately trying to save their broken relationships with the people close to them.
Fleeing from criminal persecution, Vadim resorts to extreme measures, risking completely destroying himself. Meanwhile, Lyoha's marriage is falling apart, and Egor is forced to make a difficult decision that will determine his future.
The sudden appearance of Chingiz interrupts the large‑scale celebration of the Factory Day and cuts off Vadim's last possible escape routes. At the same time, Lyudmila is waiting for Yegor to take a decisive action, while Ilyukha and Lyokha, who have fallen out, are trying to reconcile.
