Yanineko is a heavy smoker who loves cigarettes, alcohol, and laziness above all else. He picks up cigarette butts, suffers withdrawal symptoms during his part-time job, and spends his meager savings on cigarettes... His landlord is about to burst with frustration over his cat-eared resident who spends all his money on cigarettes instead of paying rent. Then one day, his responsible younger sister, Imoko, contacts him asking him to "send pictures of his room." Yanineko's greatest crisis is about to begin... How pathetic.

Having run out of nicotine, Yani-neko goes to his younger neighbor, Yaku-neko, to beg for a cigarette. The two cats are constantly bewildered by the strange behavior of their junior, but somehow they end up hanging out together. However, the suspicious smoke and suspicious words and actions make everything about Yani-neko unsettling. In the midst of all this, Yani-neko is offered a part-time job and begins to talk to Yaku-neko about the "free way of life." It's fine to live life your own way, but Yani-neko, at least get to work. For the sake of tomorrow's nicotine.

Yanineko joined the kids' soccer game in the park, but was reported as a suspicious person. Well, that's to be expected. Back at his apartment, he was once again yelled at, lectured, and ordered to quit smoking by his landlord. But this guy shows absolutely no remorse. In the end, he's made to weed the garden instead of paying rent, but Yanineko's gaze is fixed on the landlord's cabbage patch... Whether he smokes or not, leaving Yanineko alone never leads to anything good. That's the lesson learned this time (sort of).

Yanineko, who somehow only causes trouble no matter how much she tries to help others or how hard she works, gets fired from her part-time job and ends up working as an assistant to Ochinpo Tatsuro, an erotic manga artist who lives in the same apartment building. However, she burns Ochinpo Tatsuro's manuscript and has to "make amends" to him. Just as Ochinpo Tatsuro is in the middle of all this trouble, the police show up... Are you alright, Ochinpo Tatsuro?! Yanineko has nothing but cigarettes, but there must be something she can do for Ochinpo Tatsuro. Think of Ochinpo Tatsuro and stand up, Yanineko. Ochinpo Tatsuro.

Imoko's anti-smoking campaign has begun. Hidden cigarettes are confiscated. Cigarettes found are also confiscated. But the nicotine cat won't give up. Because he loves nicotine... Around this time, a few youthful-sounding events were happening around Imoko. But rest assured, this is "nicotine cat." In the end, he loves nicotine...

Yanineko runs out of gas in his lighter and keeps trying to keep the dying flame going with his next cigarette. Meanwhile, Alneko disappears during a drinking party and is somehow found on Enoshima Island. That's quite a distance away. Today, Yanineko and the others are operating as usual. And there are signs of a new problem at the beastman apartment (please stop already...). Three assistants from the beastman dispatch company arrive at the room of Ochinpo Tatsuro, who is facing a deadline. Tears begin to fall on Tatsuro's workplace.

A cat with bad sleeping habits accidentally draws a magic circle and summons the "Nicotine Demon"! However, the demon can't stand the sheer dirtiness and filth of the room and bounces back immediately... While the world is saved by the filthy room, the cat who wants to earn a lot of money gets a job cleaning a shady underground facility through a temp agency. This guy always ends up with jobs like that. Meanwhile, Penpen Cat's landlord tries to kindly welcome him back to his apartment after his house was swept away by a typhoon, but an unexpected accident occurs. Don't stand up.

November 11th is Yanineko's birthday. She thought there would be no one to celebrate with her—but it turns out her younger sisters had planned a surprise party. They're kind of nice. However, a mistake in contacting Yanineko herself is discovered... Meanwhile, in the winter apartment, the landlord is somehow trapped in a terrifying "New Year's mochi-making loop." To defy the law of the cycle and change fate—rise up, landlord! Swing him around, landlord! Slam him down, landlord! No matter what—!

I'm sorry for the vulgar topic, but this time, Yanineko's embarrassing "toilet habits" in the train station toilets and his apartment room cause a huge commotion involving those around him. Meanwhile, at school, a prince-like girl who secretly has a crush on Imoko gives her a present. But the contents of the present are once again related to toilets... Furthermore, thanks to a "common sense alteration app" that Yanineko has acquired, he transforms into an extreme anti-smoker!? By the way, there is absolutely no change in his sense of cleanliness. They should have altered that too.

Seeking a change of pace, Yakuneko and Hameneko go for a drive to a power spot waterfall. Surprisingly, these two have driver's licenses. However, along the way, Yakuneko can no longer tolerate Hameneko's selfishness and comes up with a terrible plan for revenge... It's unclear whether these two are compatible or not, but as expected, their journey doesn't go smoothly. Perhaps the fact that things don't go according to plan is the real charm of travel. I wish I could gloss over everything with such a nice phrase.

"That's right, let's go to Kyoto." At Ochinpo Tatsuro's sudden suggestion, the apartment residents embark on a trip to Kyoto and Nara. Riding around in a cat-drawn rickshaw, snatching crackers from deer, and smearing nicotine on a sacred object, the nicotine-loving cat does whatever it wants, and in Nara Park, it encounters the "King of Deer," who speaks human language and retains ancient wisdom. Where did we come from, and where are we going? The animals' profound conversation comes to an abrupt end, however, due to an irresistible urge to defecate... Plop plop plop plop.

Cancellations, firings, unreasonable hole-digging jobs...the residents reach their breaking point one after another. The battered and bruised Yanineko explodes in anger at the carefree landlord, and the biggest bald catfight in the apartment's history erupts, with microwaves flying everywhere. Even we don't really understand what's going on. Isn't everyone a little too stressed out? Nothing much is happening, but at least everyone's still alive, so let's just be happy about that.
