Once a bitter couple in the modern world, they now find themselves ruler and subject in an ancient realm where survival is their first priority. Trapped in a death row prison governed by bizarre supernatural rules, a cursed town controlled by demons, and the perilous Baihua House filled with hidden dangers, they are forced to fight side by side. Su Ningxue wields the Mountain and River Sword in the imperial court, while Lin Mo relies on wit and strategy to navigate the martial world. From narrowly escaping death in Huaiyang County, to uncovering the mystery of ghost marriages in Luoxian Town, and confronting deadly demonic forces within the capital's Baihua House, each life-and-death adventure compels them to rediscover one another. In the end, they not only overturn the tragic fate written in the original novel, but also mend their fractured relationship through their dangerous journey in this otherworldly realm, becoming true partners bound together through life and death.
