Colonel Gambera leads a select team of the ROS (Special Operations Group) to capture mob boss Matteo Messina Denaro. With only three months to complete "Operation Sunset," the group faces a race against time. But amidst setbacks and unexpected escapes, Gambera realizes that a mole is hiding among his men.

Episodio 2
Gambera entrusts Sancho with the task of monitoring the team to unmask the boss's informant. While his private life falters due to his obsession with the investigation, a massive raid targets Messina Denaro's associates. However, one last obstacle remains: identifying the traitor within the team before it's too late.

Episodio 3
After the discovery of the mole, the team is demotivated, but the operation continues. The mission on Mount Catalfano, to install an antenna, ends in tragedy due to a violent storm. Gambera and his team then decide to infiltrate the boss's sister's house: within those walls, an unexpected clue changes the course of the investigation.

Episodio 4
Analyzing the data found at Rosalia's house, Gambera reconstructs the boss's movements up to a clinic in Palermo. The confirmation of his suspicions prompts the colonel to launch a colossal operation involving the GIS (Special Intervention Group) and territorial units. On the morning of January 16, Operation "Sunset" reaches its climax: for Messina Denaro, the moment of truth has arrived.
