Bad news from the doctor about Mike's fertility, along with Catherine's complete dependence on Patty, puts a strain on Mike and Patty's marriage.
Mike's way of life is further upset by news that Mitch and Lisa are dating, and he asks his best friend to cool down their hot romance; a move that in turn upsets Lisa. Meanwhile, Catherine's miffed by Mike's efforts to toughen up Kieran.
