The Cangyun Goddess Jiang Zhiyu and the young tanuki from the Li clan, Jiang Jinghuai, fell in love after getting to know each other. However, due to their difference in social status, their relationship was opposed by Nangong Xiao, the leader of the Cangyun clan. He set a trap to turn their love into hatred. Yet, as the two continued to be entangled with each other, they gradually uncovered the truth. Their genuine love resolved the conflict and ultimately saved the world.
