Coast Guard officer Senzaki Daisuke is in training to become a rescue diver. His course completed, he's ready for his first assignment on board an aging rescue vessel. The ship's captain is due to retire soon and the head diver refuses to offer Daisuke any guidance. To add to his woes, his girlfriend doesn't seem to be too happy to see him, despite their maintaining a long-distance relationship via the phone.The manga adaptation consists of this TV series and four films. This is continuation on the movie with the same name released a year earlier, and is followed by more movies afterwards.
