Welcome to the world of Lunch Monkeys, starring Nigel Havers (Brothers And Sisters) and Sian Reeves (Hope Springs, Cutting It and Northern Lights) with Steve John Shepherd (This Life) alongside a cast of new young talent. The administration department of personal injury law firm of Fox Cranford is a gathering place for school-leavers, no-hopers and general misfits – and if they monkey around till lunch, its guerrilla warfare in the office till dinner. Straight out of school, and into a job they don't want, Darrel, Kenny, Asif, Shelley and Tania are going nowhere fast. Looked down on by the solicitors they work for, they face constant criticism by their power hungry supervisor Gloria Stevens. Bored senseless for eight hours a day, the post room gang fill their time fighting, flirting, winding each other up and generally causing mayhem.

Boss Mike is driven nuts by new girl Shelley who takes a two hour lunch to get a tattoo. Office Manager Gloria is too lazy to do Shelley's induction and leaves it to Darrel - bad move.Asif thinks an angry client wants to kill him with a death ray. Kenny tries to ask Tania out, but ends up trying to find spacepants and anyhow Tania might have AIDS, may be a lesbian and is possibly pregnant, but she definitely has a boyfriend.

Dog Boy Darrel

Solicitor Charlie tries to persuade Tania to get rid of their baby. Down in the post room, Darrel thinks he is Jason Bourne and Asif thinks he is Jackie Chan. They have a fight and Darrel loses a client's cheque, but gains a pair of Gloria's pants.The client who is owed the money is coming in to confront the boss, Mike. Asif has learnt hypnosis and puts Darrel in a trance to try and find the cheque - with alarming conseqeunces.Shelley discovers that gambling is brilliant, which leads to an interesting discovery.

It is sweltering in the office and Asif's heart is on fire for solicitor Lee Ann, so to prove he has got what it takes he goes into business selling ice pops. With Shelley's help he starts making his fortune, while Darrel is convinced he is facing redundancy and uses alcohol to cope.Kenny draws a picture of Tania naked, but trusting Asif to hide it is a really bad move, especially when Tania is suffering hormonal moodswings.

Asif becomes stressed while on his own in the post room.Tania does some proper law work for Lee Ann, but is annoyed by her constant flirting with her fella Charlie, so she starts a fire, but finds out that his intentions are surprisingly honourable.

They want him to sue the optician who sold faulty glasses to his Auntie Reena.Can Tania pull it all together, pass her appraisal and get back on board the Kenny boat before it sails for good?

With Gloria off sick, Shelley is her unlikely replacement and organises a presentation for Mike to remember.

And there's a limo in Mike's personal parking space, so he's going up the wall.
