Duet — Season 2

Ben gets set for a book-promotion tour, while Laura pours out her troubles to a contented bartender.

Laura continues her drunken bender at Richard and Linda's house, much to their chagrin. Meanwhile, Ben's star is on the rise, and new publicist Nina books him for an appearance on Rona Barrett's talk show.

Laura blows up over Ben's public comments about her. Later, realizing the pain she's caused everyone, she apologizes and visits a psychiatrist.

Linda's 30th birthday gala turns into a disaster.

Laura awakens with a hangover and a stranger in her bed.

Linda's boss offers Ben a movie deal for his new book.

While Laura and Ben settle in, Jane is unsettled when Cooper asks her what his next movie should be.

Richard wants to pursue his dream of becoming a pianist, but he has difficulty breaking the news to his dad.

Conclusion. Concern for his family's welfare brings Richard back to House of Patio.

Ben and Laura visit his parents in Brooklyn and discover they've sold the family's home. Meanwhile, Jane'a dance lessons result in the destruction of Linda's ceiling.

After Laura runs into Nina, Ben becomes convinced that he's living a real-life "Fatal Attraction," although there's a less sinister explanation for the recent telephone hang-ups. Meanwhile, Linda's eating has spiraled out of control, so Geneva intervenes -- for a price.

Ben agrees to collaborate on a novel with his mentor, but he finds himself doing all the work.

Geneva's old boyfriend breaks out of jail and entrusts her with a bag of stolen diamonds.

Richard asks Laura to throw a baby shower, but hormonal Linda isn't happy when she learns the idea was her husband's. Also, Ben ribs Laura over a laundry room mixup that resulted in a neighbor fleeing with her underwear.

When Ben and Richard get stranded from their mates on Valentine's Day, Ben recalls his courtship of Laura. Note: This is a clip episode. 

Richard and Linda throw a party for a Presidential candidate who corners Laura and makes unwanted advances. 

Linda beats the stork to the hospital, but has second thoughts at the 11th hour.

Richard forgets the baby at home when he takes his buddies to lunch, and Steve contemplates having an affair with a waitress.

Richard becomes the star of the parenting class, much to the annoyance of both Linda and Cindy, the instructor.

Jane takes drastic action to get Social Security benefits for a homeless woman.

Ben and Laura decide to get married when Laura's home-pregnancy test is positive. 

Linda and Richard are grilled as they try to get their child into an exclusive preschool.
