David Mitchell's Outsiders

It's the Outsiders' first day and they are competing for three badges – felling a tree, rescuing an air crash victim and inventing a camp motto. At the end of each episode, David summons the teams to his HQ in the forest to review the events and award badges for successfully completed challenges. The day's events lead to some hilarious moments as an irreverent Lou Sanders challenges David's decision making.

It's day two in the woods for the Outsiders. Will Jess Knappett manage to keep Jamali under control once he gets his hands on a pair of scissors, and will vegan Lou Sanders agree to milking a goat?

It's the Outsiders' third day living together in the wild. The competition is hotting up as the teams compete for three new badges - camouflage, inventing a camp flag, and composing an anthem, while David Mitchell hovers over proceedings.

Today, David is equipped with a hose pipe as he tests out whether the shelters he's asked the comedians to build are waterproof.Later he challenges them to design a camp gadget: Ed Gamble and Lou Sanders clash over whether to go for a burglar alarm or a swing, whilst Jess and Jamali come up with a wooden television – but will David be convinced of its worth?

It's the Outsiders' penultimate day living together in the wild and all three pairs are under increasing pressure. Cracks in their relationships start to appear as they take pot shots at one another in a hunting challenge and have to lead each other blindfolded in a sensory deprivation challenge. Jess (pictured) attempts to persuade Jamali that their relationship has a romantic feel, but he remains unconvinced!

It's the Outsiders' last day living together in the wild. There's all to play for as the teams go all out to impress a sceptical David Mitchell and prove they can survive post apocalypse by making shoes from natural materials and herding animals.

Maisie Adam, Fatiha El-Ghorri, Darren Harriott, Jessica Hynes, Phil Wang and Joe Wilkinson take on their first set of three challenges, including bug racing and creating holistic treatments.

There are some surprise visitors to camp today as David Mitchell challenges the six comedians to put their music skills to the test by composing a fanfare and to teach a group of children about the world in the 'before times' with their revised curriculum. Will Darren and Maisie impress David with their new martial art? Will Fatiha El-Ghorri's spelling distract the kids from Phil Wang's surname?

It's the Outsiders' third day in the woods as they continue to battle it out to see who will form the best post-apocalyptic society.David Mitchell challenges the six comedians to come up with three new laws for their society, invent some holistic woodland therapies and evade two pursuing bloodhounds! Will Darren and Maisie's new sex law convince David? And will Phil Wang ever be able to look at Fathia El-Ghorri in the eye again after her outrageous holistic treatments?

It's day four in the woods for the Outsiders, as they continue to battle it out to see who will form the best post-apocalyptic society. David Mitchell challenges the six comedians to put their knot skills to the test as they tie each other up, create masterpieces out of discarded rubbish, and spy on him as they take part in the Surveillance badge. Will Jess and Joe's pre-challenge nap pay off? Will Darren and Maisie's busty new friend seduce David?

It's the Outsiders' penultimate day in the woods and the competition is hotting up as they battle it out to see who will form the best post-apocalyptic society.Today, the comedians must put their fashion skills to the test by creating a warrior look, sell their vision of a Utopian society to a bemused newcomer and show their military prowess by firing projectile weapons. Will Joe be penalised for missing the target and accidentally hitting a cameraman in the nuts? Will David agree with Fatiha's suggestion to erect a statue of Ronald Reagan in camp?

It's the Outsiders' final day in the wild. David Mitchell oversees as the pairs of comedians compete to see who can demonstrate various skills in plumbing, painting and funeral rites in their battle for the winner's trophy.

It is Day Two in camp and the Outsiders are surprised by a stranger who is silently watching their every move.

It is Day Three and the Outsiders are shocked to discover that there's been a murder in camp. As they turn their hand to being detectives, they must interrogate five suspects before deciding who they think committed the crime. To earn their Livestock badge the Outsiders must select and prepare an animal for sale. Will Guz and Judi get over their fear of their llama and will Alan and Roisin be able to part with their beloved donkey? Finally, the Outsiders must use quick thinking and mathematical ability to solve a rationing riddle. At the end of the day, the Outsiders head to David's HQ to find out who has done enough to win one of his coveted badges.

It is Day Four in camp as the Outsiders battle it out to see who will create the best apocalyptic society. Today, David Mitchell invites former Outsider, Lou Sanders, to help him judge the Energy Healing badge. Alan and Roisin invent 'Chase Therapy', while Guz and Judi create an alternative 'Rebirthing Therapy' - an experience that David never wants to repeat. David also challenges the six comedians to create a post-apocalyptic, urban utopia and compose an anthem to unite the camp. At the end of the day, David summons the teams to his HQ to review events and award badges for successfully completed challenges. The result leads to some hilarious moments and some unpredictable outcomes!

It's the penultimate day of the experiment and the heat is on to win badges. The Outsiders are charged with upcycling three cars that have been abandoned in the woods. But which new design will David deem the most useful addition to camp - a drum set, a ping pong table or a hair salon? Next up, it's the Couples Therapy badge with Alan Davies, Judi Love and Laura Smyth each taking a turn at being a therapist for an opposing team. But which team comes out stronger? Lastly, David gives the Outsiders the opportunity to exile the things they don't want from their new post-apocalyptic society. Noisy eaters, procrastination and singing along to songs are all in line for the chop! But who will David agree with most and more importantly, who will win a badge? At the end of the day, the Outsiders head to David's HQ to discover who has done enough to win one of his coveted badges.

It's the last day for the Outsiders and with everything to play for there are only two badges in a race to the finish line. David Mitchell has challenged the Outsiders to make dummy David fly through the sky as far as possible, but will Roisin and Alan's low-tech device or Chris and Laura's scientific mechanism be the right approach to take for the penultimate badge? To earn the final badge, the teams must create their own political party and convince an audience at a hustings of their manifesto and points. Guz and Judi's shameless populism creates no friends amongst their rivals, and even leaves Guz out of pocket with one audience member. Finally, the Outsiders make their way one last time to David's HQ to find out who has won the final badges, and who will be crowned this year's Outsiders' Champions.
