After bringing The Sound of Music to London in 2006, the producers Andrew Lloyd Webber and David Ian have teamed again to stage it in Toronto (October 2008 to January 2009) with Mirvish Productions. The role of Maria von Trapp has yet to be filled. Ten eager and hopeful stage actresses compete for the coveted role in an elimination competition reprising the original British show.
