Bone Detectives: Britain's Buried Secrets — Season 2

Tori Herridge and a team of scientists investigate when the remains of a young woman from the Bronze Age are found during routine roadworks on the A9 in Scotland. In her grave are clues to who she might have been, including a finely made beaker. Does she belong to the so-called Beaker People, who migrated from Europe to Britain more than 4,000 years ago?

Tori Herridge and a team of scientists visit the most excavated monastic site in Europe, tucked away in the corner of an industrial park in Runcorn, Cheshire. An investigation into the bones of the people buried here reveals a story of medieval knights, brutal murder, and generations of people afflicted by an ancient disease.

Tori Herridge and a team of scientists examines remains found at a Roman cemetery which was uncovered on the site of a planned housing estate near Amesbury in Wiltshire. Among the bones recovered is an unusual case of grave disturbance, in which the remains of a middle-aged man seem to have been stabbed and beheaded after burial.
