Brian Devlin poses as a monk as he and his private investigator son, Nick Corsello, investigate a big swindle involving fine wines.

Nick's life is in danger when he meets and falls for a beautiful heiress. A young woman interrupts the funeral of a multimillionaire by claiming to be his illegitimate daughter.

Brian inadvertently becomes involved in a "Maltese Falcon"-style murder mystery. Lady Buffy St. Clair has donated $ 1 million to the Cultural Center. Brian Devlin wants to thank her with a small gift. For this purpose, he is looking for a friendly jeweler. Moments later, Devlin is involved in a murder case ...

Brian and Nick try to find out who is poisoning the leading chefs of the world.

Nick is desperate for Brian's help after he is framed for murder. When fledgling private eye Nick Corsello is set up as a murder suspect by lovely but lethal jewel thief Tanya Marinakov he's driven to seek help from renowned ex-detective Brian Devlin — and to reveal his identity as the son Devlin never knew he had.

Nick investigates the murder of a real estate developer's secretary. Nick (Jack Scalla) is hired to stop the psychological harassment of a secretary by a petty crook, which looks easy until some big-time hoods "suggest" he back off. 

A mysterious German beauty uses Nick to get to Brian in the belief that he killed her mother. Brian's colleagues from his days as a Government agent in Cold War Germany are being murdered systematically, and the only clue is a cryptic message: "Marta vergisst nicht."

Nick's help is sought by a man, whose wife's behavior changes every year on the anniversary of her first husband's death.
