A man working at a garbage incinerator discovers the body of a dead man burned to ashes in the oven. Police detective Martin Beck handles the case. All he knows is that a brutal murder has happened. But he does not know when or where. He has no body, motive or a crime scene, not a single trace. All he has is some teeth and a mysterious Internet address

Beck and his men investigates a murder of a Russian woman. At the same time as SÄPO (The Swedish Security Agency) sees a chance of getting a Russian in the embassy deported.

When the police reveal a narcotic smuggling the driver is shot dead. It appears that the driver is Superintendent Martin Beck's son. Beck breaks down and moves out of the way. But on his colleagues request he returns.

In this film Beck and his team are trying to find a serial killer, whose victims are spread all over Sweden. An obvious connection is that all the victims are women, and they were all in the same class, and Beck thinks that a scandal back in the past has something to do with the murders. But no one wants to talk about the past and it becomes a struggle to find the perpetrator before the final murder - only one woman is still alive.

Inspector Beck and his team get involved in a large-scale smuggling of cesium 133. A gang from the east uses refugees who with a promise to stay in Sweden and with danger to their own life take in the dangerous explosive chemical substance.

The Stockholm police bomb squad blows a briefcase to pieces after what looks like false alarm, but a baby was hidden inside, which is thus executed by shocked cops. As if the PR disaster weren't bad enough, the press gets wind of enough to cry cover-up. Soon after, young mother is targeted. Beck tries to link her to the baby by its biological father Ove Lundin, thus the prime suspect, but still lacks a motive for the sadistic MO, and the fiend 'Monster' isn't done.

Inconspicuous precinct officer Nordmark apparently shoots himself, but Beck, once his first partner, finds he led a secret life as lusty closet gay, the MO doesn't fit, nor does the suicide note - it was staged by someone who ignored his reading disorder. The commissioner wants all efforts to collaborate with the financial crimes unit to arrest tax-sinning crime king 'Money Man' Gavling, but Beck's team finds Normark must have been his precinct informer. The keys to the case are gay club bird Leonard, who recently dumped Nordmark, and Beck's first case, when Gavling still did his own dirty jobs. The gloves come off on both sides.

A serial killer that decapitates people is on the loose in the Stockholm subway. Martin Beck and his colleagues try to catch the killer, while the panic in the city increases.

Meanwhile, Gunvald Larsson who was a close friend of one of the murdered cops is ignoring all rules in his quest for revenge.

They find fingerprints from a criminal who was involved in a robbery 4 years ago. After the robbery, he shot his accomplices and disappeared without a trace, along with their haul of 6.3 million.

Two traffic officers on a quiet morning shift try to stop a car for speeding. When the car finally pulls over, the driver gets out and shoots at them, killing one of the officers in cold blood. A national alert is issued and an extensive search for the ruthless killer begins, with the Beck group at the lead. Neither the officer's shocked and wounded colleague nor any of the witnesses have seen anything helpful to the police. Finally, they find the car registration number using a surveillance camera. But, when they enter the car owner's apartment, they find him shot to death. The first day of summer is a long one for the Beck group, as the killer has more victims on his list.

Since Martin Beck has quit, Steinar Hovland leads the search for the missing girl. But Martin is drawn into the case when he decides to help the national Security Police investigate a suspected terrorist. Klas Fredén has been spying on this network for a long time, and he does not want his investigation, which is in a critical phase, to be jeopardized. However, he allows the Beck group, led by Alex Beijer, to work with the murder investigation in parallel with the reconnaissance. This causes Alex to end up on a constant collision course with Fredén. The conflict causes Martin Beck, now Rotel chief, to become involved in the work of his former group, something that enlivens him. Steinar is having a harder time, torn between work and longing for his children in Oslo. The pressure on the Beck group becomes fierce during the season, both with tough investigations and emotional changes in the group.

During an intervention, a macabre find is made in the trunk of a car and the Beck group quickly ends up in the firing line for a seemingly cold-blooded killer. But things are not what they seem. The group is the subject of a stressful internal investigation and Oscar ends up in a really difficult dilemma. Alex's task is to solve both an unusually and unimaginably cruel murder mystery, while the Beck group risks collapsing from within. Martin Beck is doubtful about her way of handling the case, at the same time as he himself seems to be undergoing a personality change. The pressure on the Beck group becomes fierce, both internally and externally when the media hears about the failed police operation and the sad finding in the tailgate. This should prove to be one of the group's most emotional cases.

A candidate for the Nobel Peace Prize is brutally stabbed to death in central Stockholm just after a meeting with two lawyers from the war tribunal in The Hague. One of the witnesses worked with Alex when she was stationed in the Middle East and they have an attraction to each other that makes Josef think she should stay out of the investigation. But Klas Fredén is pressuring the group to resolve the politically charged case before SÄPO takes over. Martin Beck is on sick leave but continues to go to work waiting for a diagnosis. He, Oskar and Jenny are forced to relate to the growing tensions within the group and it soon turns out that several of those involved carry dangerous secrets.

A jawbone is found in the middle of the forest. When the rest of the body is found, it turns out that it has just recently been moved and belongs to Viktor Eklund, who has been missing for five years. His mother, well-known author Cecilia Eklund, has just managed to put his disappearance behind her. Martin Beck was investigating the disappearance, but Alex thinks it is unusually thin and not like Martin's usual work. But Martin is very secretive and reluctant to talk about the case. Fredén, on the other hand, does not hesitate to blame the bad work on Martin. There is a lot that is not true. Martin is on sick leave and everyone knows how sick he really is. Fredén, on the other hand, immediately takes the chance and offers Alex Martin's service. He wants new blood in the corps. But Alex seems to have completely different plans. Something that Joseph notices.

A body, belonging to a 39-year-old Danish citizen, has been found floating in the water near Liljeholmen. The person seems to have been a member of a notorious Danish drug gang where the league leader is in a Swedish prison, and the only one he agrees to talk to is Steinar.

A murder in a wooded area and a man who died suddenly in a heart attack after being awakened in the middle of the night by a masked burglar. Can the events have any connection? The Beck group is facing another tough case where internal tensions and loyalties are being put to the test.

Alex Beijer will participate in TV's morning program, but it all develops into a nightmare when an unlikely hostage drama arises in the TV studio. Alex can use all his experiences from the years in the Middle East at the same time as the rest of the group needs support to find a solution to the situation.

The police authority is under heavy media pressure after a fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy. A demonstration against the violence degenerates and the police have to take further blame. Some time later, a massacre takes place on a bus outside the Police Academy. A discovery made by Martin's grandson Vilhelm who goes to school will be an important piece of the puzzle to lead the Beck group further in the investigation.

Vilhelm Beck is a police aspirant and out on his first internship in the real world. He and his supervisor Trine are routinely called to a burglary. At the crime scene, Vilhelm is the one who discovers a dead 17-year-old boy and the mission goes directly to the Beck group. Vilhelm feels deeply affected by the situation and wants to contribute to the investigation, more than his supervisor says ok to. At the same time, Martin Beck tries to ensure that he gets to be part of Vilhelm's development, something Vilhelm doesn't appreciate as much.

The Beck group receives a seemingly routine murder case that takes an unexpected turn when Säpo takes an interest in the investigation.

Josef is suspended, pending an internal investigation of his alleged assault of a Säpo agent. Klas Fredén, who has climbed to even higher heights within the police organisation, offers to help - but nothing in life is free.

Three men enter a luxury apartment in Stockholm dressed as couriers. But what appears to be a robbery ends in a brutal murder that resembles an execution. Vilhelm Beck's patrol is the first to arrive. Haunted by his memories as a hostage, Vilhelm soon begins his own investigation into the case, which leads to a surprising contact with the Beck group.

When Alex is alerted to a brutal murder, she brings the temporarily suspended Vilhelm and her colleague Josef to the crime scene. The victim turns out to have connections to the digital university Howl, which investigates the role of men in a changing world. At the same time, the case is linked to an older investigation into the Balcony Man, which brings Martin Beck back to the department.

The Beck group receives a case where a pastor has died in an arson at one of the Pentecostal movement's parish halls. When Alex and Joseph arrive, she discovers that the other pastor in the church is a person from her past.
